9

What can you say about 9 years?

The ups and downs....

the highs and lows...

the tears and laughter.

So many tears.

But OH the laughter.

We have been through thick and thin.  Through sickness and health...good times and bad times for sure.

But never once, not even for a tiny, fleeting second...never have I regretted my decision....my choice....my unbelievable luck...

9 years ago on this beautiful, wonderful day, I married the man of my dreams....love of my life...my best friend

Today we will clothe ourselves in the joy and wonder of all that we have filled these 9 years with - love, memories, strength, faith, honor.

Thank you Paulo.

Thank you God.

Life long experience

Last year Thomas took a very basic tumbling class - just right for his age.  He LOVED it.  So this year, we decided he could advance to an official, more structured gymnastics class.  Of course, he loves it.

Before I post pics, need to give a big shout out to Nana and Big T who made both last year and this year's classes possible.  People - if you have family in your life who struggle with what to get for your kids (especially a child like mine who has e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g!) - why not suggest they contribute to a class, or an experience.  While toys are nice, and clothes are necessary, they are short term.  The skills Thomas will develop in this class  - listening, following instruction, learning, maybe even developing a natural gymnastics talent - these will all be with him for life.  And I will always remind him that Nana and Big T are to thank for this.  So thanks Big T and Nana!

1,000 Gifts Thursday

Music.

All genres, all types, all styles.

I love music.

I need music.

It sets my mood...or sometimes it saves my mood.

It sets the tone for our home, our day, our season.

It is hands down one of the top 5 things my parents did for me. See, they loved music too.  They always had music playing at our house...all genres, all types, all styles. And although I never fully appreciated my parents music choices, I've now arrived at them.

"The sounds of the 70's"

Neil Diamond.  Barry Manilow.  Anne Murray.

I want music to be one of the gifts we give Thomas.  Paulo and I are both musicians - both singers and instrumentalists.  It is assumed but most that music is a part of the fabric of our family.  But I want it to be part of him - his soul.

These are currently playing on "repeat" at our house these days:

Based on these mellow selections, mama's been in a good mood lately.
